Although Razor is very new it is very promising view engine because of shorter and cleaner syntax. In this posting I will show you same view on ASP.NET and Razor view engine. I like Razor one more but what do you think? (more)

The last thing to do is to harmonise everything so that we can actually automate the deployment. (more)

I usually do not write multiple post in the same day, but as I was having some conversation with a folk in ASP.NET mailing list on Html5 specially on client side validation support in ASP.NET MVC3,  I decided to post the second part of the Html5 form Integration which I initially started in my old blog. Okay as now my blog is rolling, the next thing I wanted pick is a perfect syntax highlighter for Live Writer. In my old my blog, I was using http://wlwsyntaxhighlighter.codeplex.com/ pretty successfully, but looks like it has not been updated for quite some time and more importantly it was not generating the correct markup that I want to post in this blog. Beside that I would also like to see what are the other alternates of Synt... (more)

In the first two parts of this series we got config transforms working and the web app successfully bundled into a nice self-contained deployable package. Next up: get the thing to publish. For the most part, the vast majority of web app deployment has historically been done by pushing the entire site out over either UNC or FTP, a practice which has a series of fundamental shortcomings that set deployment up for potential failure... Inspired by David Ebbo’s blog post ‘Turn your Razor helpers into reusable libraries’ I wanted to be able to embed compiled Razor views in a dll. This would allow for easy distribution of asp.net mvc ‘modules’ that have their default views embedded, but allowing you to place files in your ‘views’ folder to override those default views (more)

C# async feature really exposes a lots of things to us. I can see, there is lots of people is discussing about it in MSDN forums, few people wanted to get rid of the Task from the async methods and really want to deal with normal return types, while others just wanted to get rid of the async postfix. During my leisure, I read them but what I thought the most important part of the feedback is that most of the people really liked the way Microsoft simplifies the Asynchronous approach of programming style. ... A couple of days back a user on WPF forums wanted to get a style similar to the BreadCrumbStyle menu on this CodeGuru pagefor the tabcontrol. Below is the image of the Style he wanted. I have created the style and posting the source code to the project here for those who want to use it in their project. It’s a very raw style, I will be updating it and posting an update to the same. As you can see in the above image there are two styles used to create this look. The left TabItem is a different style... (more)
