This is a challenge to identify the downtime of servers from the log data generated by a monitoring application.There is a monitoring application that keeps checking the status of several servers at 5 minute intervals. When we create a new database using SSMS, by default Page Verify Option for database is set to CHECKSUM, which is a recommended option and it helps detecting corruption. This setting is used to discover and report incomplete I/O transactions caused by disk I/O errors. (more)
